Resolved Question: Road Test appointments at Kilmer, Edison, NJ.?

Hello, I was recently denied the ability to take my scheduled test because of an issue with my vehicle's center console. I rescheduled, but the only available day is a month away. A friend of mine said that when he took the test a year ago, he was able to just walk in and take it without an appointment. Does anyone else have any experience with doing that?
